Contemporary painting and sculpture. With a heritage dating back to 1746, we are a
family-run business with galleries in London and Lincolnshire, known for our connoisseurship,
discretion and client-led approach.
We are seeking an exceptional Part-Time Weekend Sales Associate to join in our Stamford gallery. This role is specifically focused around weekend cover, playing a key part in welcoming clients and driving sales during some of our busiest trading hours.

THE ROLE
This is a highly client-facing position, suited to someone with strong commercial instincts, polished interpersonal skills and a genuine enthusiasm for art and luxury environments. You will be responsible for delivering an outstanding end-to-end sales experience, acting as a trusted point of contact for clients and an ambassador for the Gladwell & Patterson brand.
Working closely with the wider gallery team, you will help to ensure the gallery operates seamlessly over the weekend, providing a professional and warm experience for collectors, decorators and visitors alike.
Key Responsibilities
• Opening and closing the gallery on weekends
• Managing the full sales process, from initial client engagement through to follow-up and handover
• Building rapport with clients and confidently discussing artworks and artists
• Handling enquiries in person, by telephone and email
• Providing a clear and thorough weekend handover to the weekday team
• Representing the brand with professionalism, discretion, and confidence
Skills & Experience
• Proven sales experience within luxury retail, galleries or a comparable environment
• Excellent face-to-face selling skills with a confident, client-led approach
• A strong interest in art and the fine art market
• Highly organised, detail-oriented and comfortable working independently
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency on Mac, with experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel (Artlogic experience is advantageous)

• Part-time, weekends
• Gallery opening hours:
o Monday–Saturday: 10am–6pm
o Sunday: 11am–4pm
