Fine Art Asia 2014 – An adventure in Hong Kong

Fine Art Asia 2014It’s the 4th time we have come to exhibit at the Fine Art Asia show in Hong Kong and whilst it is always a pleasure to see our established clients and meet new faces, attendance was lower than previous years which can be blamed in part on the economic downturn in mainland China and the student protests in Hong Kong.

We displayed an outstanding collection of paintings ranging from Monet and Picasso, through Bouvard, Jacob and Robin to our current artists such as the superb watercolorist Martens and our exceptional still life artist Willem Dolphyn.

Our French artists were well received again with sales for both Jacob & Robin, two artists Anthony’s father met in Paris just after the War. How exciting to think their paintings are now hanging across the world in the Far East! It also highlights the unique link between our gallery and these painters and how finding the best paintings of the highest quality is always top of our agenda.  Willem Dolphyn’s charming little still lives also sold well, as always.

We look forward to returning next year to build upon the foundations we have been making over the past four years and developing the relationships with our clients from Hong Kong, mainland China and nearby countries.
