Clifford Hall’s Whispers of Summer captures the quiet rhythm of rural life with expressive, gestural brushwork. Golden sheaves of wheat rise against a backdrop of dense woodland, their forms softly animated by light and breeze. Hall’s painterly style conveys immediacy and atmosphere, blending tonal harmony with textural richness. A lyrical study of the British countryside, this work hints at the fleeting warmth and stillness of late summer.
