A true Classical Realist, Paul’s focus is on universal beauty. Paul classifies himself as a painter first and foremost and an artist second. He upholds rigorous standards in pursuit of this, working from life, emulating the techniques and materials of the old masters, painting on linen canvas, preparing his own paints by hand, and carefully selecting pigments and oils to his precise requirements.

Paul began his artistic training as an apprentice for the Classical Realist D. Jeffrey Mims. He then travelled to Italy to study at Studio Cecil-Graves in Florence, before becoming a tutor at the prestigious Florence Academy of Art.
