RHS Chelsea Flower Show

ABOUT THE EXHIBITION

This May, Gladwell & Patterson returns for its seventeenth year to the world-renowned RHS Chelsea Flower Show, bringing with it a celebration of fine art, timeless design, and horticultural beauty. As London’s oldest art gallery, with an unbroken legacy dating back nearly 280 years, we are proud to once again present a stand that reflects our passion for exquisite art, meaningful interiors, and the transformative power of creativity.

Established in 1746, Gladwell & Patterson is rooted in a deep-seated ethos of discovery, expertise, and trust. From our historic gallery in London and our charming outpost in Stamford, we have always believed in art’s extraordinary ability to turn a house into a home. We guide collectors, designers and enthusiasts alike to find works that resonate across generations, and our mission remains constant: to enrich lives with beauty, to share knowledge generously, and to create spaces filled with wonder and inspiration.

Our presence at the Chelsea Flower Show is a continuation of our commitment to showcasing art in the most inspiring of settings. Our design will be a celebration of how fine art can transform and enliven a space. This year, we are delighted to collaborate with the celebrated interior designer Lucinda Sanford, whose tailored approach to home design mirrors our own dedication to individuality, craftsmanship, and enduring style. Lucinda has designed a sumptuous living room setting for our stand, complete with elegant wall hangings by Fromental, creating an environment where our post-impressionist and traditional contemporary paintings truly come alive.

Among the treasures on display will be a rare and tender gouache and pastel drawing by Henri Le Sidaner, capturing the serenity of his rose garden at Gerberoy. This evocative work is joined by the captivating landscapes of Edward Seago, whose painterly views of the Norfolk Broads remain among the finest in British Impressionism. Also featured are masterful French landscapes by Georges Charles Robin and Raymond Thibésart, long cherished by collectors for their romantic light and painterly depth. New for this year is a framed archway leading to a working artist’s studio, where each day a different contemporary artist will paint or sculpt live for our visitors. This living atelier invites guests to witness the artistic process in real time, a celebration of craftsmanship and creativity at the heart of what we do.

Gladwell & Patterson was the first gallery to bring fine art to the Chelsea Flower Show, and over the years we’ve seen growing interest in art that bridges indoor and outdoor spaces; art that speak to the harmony of home, garden, and soul. Our 2025 stand embodies this vision, offering collectors, designers, and visitors a chance to explore paintings and sculptures within beautifully conceived interiors and to discover pieces that will inspire for a lifetime.

We invite you to visit us at RHS Chelsea, to explore, to be inspired, and perhaps to begin or continue your journey as a collector.
