FINE ART VALUATIONS

Fine Art Valuations Advice Art Gallery with anthony fuller

Gladwell & Patterson is the oldest art gallery in the UK and we have been involved with Fine Art Valuation for over 275 years covering most specialist areas of 20th and 21st Century British, European and American Art. With established links with many of the museum curators and saleroom experts we have networked a comprehensive database from which to source a professional valuation for probate purposes.

We would like to offer our services to you and your clients to provide formal and confidential valuations on the basis of retail replacement or open market values of their fine art collections.

Our valuation report can be supplied in a variety of formats, ranging from a bound document to pdf via email. The concise illustrated report provides a clearly defined record in category and location order, whilst additional information such as provenance and acquisition value can be tailored to their individual requirements.

We tailor each valuation around the collector and the collection, working with single items through to large collections. Our scholarship and expertise in the art market allows us to offer the highest level of service with the strictest policy of confidentiality for private collections, museums, fiduciaries, and corporations.

Get in touch with one of our team of trusted fine art specialists who will inspect the items, tell them a little about them and give an auction valuation. We offer remote valuations by email, Whatsapp and video call. We can also book private appointments at one of our offices in London and Rutland. Alternatively, if your clients would rather we came to them, we are happy to book private appointments to value their paintings in the comfort of their own home.

We can offer support for executors and professional advisors, from appraisal and certified reports through to auction administration, including collection, storage and clearance advice.

Our services include:

  • Complimentary initial assessment of the collection via emailed images

  • Transparent fees quoted in advance of written valuation

  • Industry-leading reports complete with illustrations

  • Collection/ shipping and management of ensuing sales

  • The cost of this service is dependant on location and time scale.

  • Arranging the estate of a late loved one can be difficult and distressing, and we recognise the importance of carrying out valuations at a sensitive time, where speed is of the essence.

We look forward to hearing from you and how we may best be able to assist you and your clients with their Fine Art Valuations.
