Chailloux captured the charm of pastoral France within his paintings. His beautiful depictions of rustic fruits flowers were often taken directly from his gardens or carefully selected from the local market. Chailloux’s studio was an Aladdin’s cave of treasures; he collected many fine examples of French provincial pottery and objects which provided limitless opportunities for their use in his compositions.

In 1940, Chailloux became a member of the Salon des Artistes Franais, and exhibited at the Salon in Paris throughout his career. His works achieved numerous accolades during his lifetime and can now be found in many notable private collections.
