Georgina Potter’s Beyond the Lake captures the soft quietude of an early morning landscape wrapped in mist. The still water reflects the muted tones of sky and foliage, while a distant line of sheep grazes peacefully along the far bank. Trees dissolve into the haze, their forms barely breaking the gentle veil of atmosphere. With delicate brushwork and a palette of subdued greens, greys and soft peach, Potter evokes a moment suspended in time, where the world is hushed and the light begins to stir.
