Mike Bernard’s Camogli, Italian Riviera is a joyful celebration of light, texture and coastal colour. The painting hums with Mediterranean warmth as sunlit buildings in coral and ochre rise above a harbour filled with gently floating fishing boats.
Bernard’s distinctive collage technique and instinctive sense of rhythm bring the scene to life, capturing the spirit of Camogli with energy and charm. It is a piece that speaks of slow afternoons, salt air and the beauty of the Italian coast.
Born in Kent, award winning artist Mike trained at the West Surrey College of Art and Design and the Royal Academy Schools. Since then he was exhibited widely in the U.K and was elected a member of the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour. He now lives and works in North Devon.
