A joyful balance between interior calm and coastal bustle. Fowey tumbles downhill in a patchwork of rooftops and chimney pots, with the church tower standing proudly against a brilliant Cornish blue.
Bernard’s signature collage technique gives the whole scene a layered, lived-in feel, part domestic still life, part seascape. It’s a painting that feels like a Sunday morning: coffee brewing, light streaming in, and the quiet hum of life outside.
Born in Kent, award winning artist Mike trained at the West Surrey College of Art and Design and the Royal Academy Schools. Since then he was exhibited widely in the U.K and was elected a member of the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour. He now lives and works in North Devon.
