A quietly elegant still life depicting a mantel arrangement of painted glass, ceramics and freshly gathered flowers, rendered with a soft, sensitive touch. Muted greys and chalky whites provide a calm backdrop for accents of cobalt, emerald green and gentle floral colour. Tuck's loose yet assured brushwork captures shifting light across reflective surfaces, balancing intimacy with compositional harmony in a refined interior scene.
Ollie Tuck is a Sussex-based Still Life painter who has exhibited with the RSMA and ROI.
Her paintings are a response to the beauty of colour and light she finds in everyday subjects. Her recent works combine traditional still life subjects with a contemporary use of colour and pattern in highly decorative, joyful compositions.
Ollie has won awards including 2nd Place 'Stanley Grimm Memorial Award at the Royal Institute of Oil painters 2022, the RSMA Next Generation Award and Holly Bush Painter Prize, Best figurative painting, 2021.
