A richly atmospheric still life centred on blue and white ceramics arranged on a dark wooden shelf. Confident, expressive brushwork gives weight and presence to the teapot, cup and plates, their curved forms catching cool highlights against a deep, warm ground. Subtle tonal shifts and painterly marks animate the surface, creating a sense of quiet drama and domestic intimacy within this carefully balanced interior composition.
Ollie Tuck is a Sussex-based Still Life painter who has exhibited with the RSMA and ROI.
Her paintings are a response to the beauty of colour and light she finds in everyday subjects. Her recent works combine traditional still life subjects with a contemporary use of colour and pattern in highly decorative, joyful compositions.
Ollie has won awards including 2nd Place 'Stanley Grimm Memorial Award at the Royal Institute of Oil painters 2022, the RSMA Next Generation Award and Holly Bush Painter Prize, Best figurative painting, 2021.
