ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
Gladwell & Patterson was the first art gallery to exhibit at the Chelsea Flower Show, and after nearly twenty years, we are always happy to be back.
This year our stand will look a little different as the Chelsea Flower Show have changed their layout, giving us the opportunity to try something new. We are thrilled to be working with the wonderful landscape designer Eleanor Oborne again. Eleanor trained at the Garden Design School based at The University of Bristol's Botanic Gardens and specialises in low-impact and wildlife-friendly gardens, which settle comfortably and naturally into their surroundings. Her inspiration when designing and advising on gardens often comes from her countryside surroundings, and the emotional connection being in nature inspires within us.
We are delighted to have Jazmin van Breda decorating our stand this year with her beautiful British wildlife designs. Jazmin kindly decorated our windows for us during the Christmas period, and we can't wait to see what she will bring to Chelsea. She is the daughter of our artist Peter van Breda and graduated from Central St Martins University of the Arts London last year. Jazmin's work has already been displayed at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition in 2023, and we are excited to see her progress in the future.
As always, we have a fantastic selection of artists on our stand; Edward Waites will be sculpting on our stand on Tuesday, followed by Paul S Brown on Wednesday. Peter van Breda will be painting for us on Thursday, and Georgina Potter will be with us on Friday; this will be Georgina's first time with us at Chelsea Flower Show. To finish this wonderful week, we have Martin Taylor painting for us on Saturday.
We all have very fond memories of the show; due to its wonderful location, it is one of the few art fairs that every single member of the team can attend over the week. As always, we cannot wait to share all our beautiful paintings with you, please come and visit us on our stand!
