A finely observed still life featuring a green glass bottle set beside a single rosehip, arranged on a shallow ledge against a dark ground. The composition is tightly controlled, with the vertical form of the bottle offset by the rounded fruit and its extending stem. Subtle gradations of tone describe the translucency of the glass and the smooth, taut surface of the tomato. The restrained palette of greens, reds and deep blues enhances the clarity of the arrangement, while precise, measured brushwork emphasises surface, light and material presence.

  • Dylan Waldron is a British artist known for his meticulous technique and finely detailed paintings. He studied at Stourbridge College of Art and later earned his degree in Art & Design from Wolverhampton Polytechnic in 1976. Since then, he has pursued a full-time career as a painter, exhibiting widely in the UK and internationally.

Waldron's artistic process is deeply rooted in traditional methods, utilising water-based media such as acrylic, gouache and watercolour. He achieves remarkable depth by carefully applying layers of transclucent glazes, giving his paintings a distinctive, highly detailed quality.

Spanning still-life compositions, landscapes, domestic interiors and portraits, Dylan is predominantly influenced by 17th-century Spanish painters, capturing a sense of austerity while highlighting the sensual beauty of his selected subject matter.
